Welcome to Hamlin Hopes

What a great blessing it is to be able to serve and help those living right here in our community. The grandparents and elderly, the aunts and uncles, the moms and dads, the children and babes. For one reason or another, we all come together for the same thing: Food & Clothing

Located in Wayne County, Pennsylvania, at The Hamlin Assembly of God Church and there a part of, Hamlin Hopes has been serving the community for over 20 years.  Our Community consists of 12 different zip codes and servicing parts of Wayne, Lackawanna and Pike County.

Food Pantry

Some facts about what we do:

We have over 500 registered families.

Almost half are Elderly on a fixed income deciding between food and other necessities.

To those families, we distribute 10,000 pounds of food twice a month.

It takes between 15 and 25 volunteers each distribution to hand out all that food.

The Food Pantry pays seven cents a pound for food through Second Harvest Food Bank.

We run and operate on donations only! With a minimum operating budget of $10,000 a year, help is always needed.

Clothing

Our initiative is to collect clothing, coats, and blankets throughout the year for distribution in April and October. This effort is not only a practical response to people's needs but also a thoughtful expression of community spirit and compassion.

As the seasons change, so do the needs of individuals and families facing challenging circumstances.
